Chief Electrical and Electronics Engineer

Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading engineering & manufacturing group who specialise in innovative solutions & products to the EV and clean energy sectors. Due to the award of new programs, they have a number of new vacancies to join their expanding team and are currently recruiting for a Chief Electrical and Electronics Engineer


Location: Remote 

Salary: Dependant on experience


The Role

Lead and manage the electrical and electronics team.
Oversee the design, development and validation of electronic hardware systems, including embedded control systems and power electronics.
Develop specifications and implement hardware that ensures compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
Lead system-level fault analysis and reliability testing.
Manage relationships with external suppliers, covering low voltage, high voltage, motor control, power electronics, wiring harnesses, and connectors.
Integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Ensure adherence to APQP and model-based engineering practices.
Travel to suppliers and customers as needed to support project objectives.


The Candidate 

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in systems design of electrical and electronic products across the full development cycle from concept to production and operation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency with electrical and electronic hardware development tools and software.
In-depth knowledge of embedded control systems, power electronics, wiring harnesses.
Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
